BSPB participated in the National competition in science and ecology [ 2010-10-27 17:41:02 ]

BSPB took part in the National competition in science and ecology, organized by the Ministry of Education and Science in Kardjali. The two-day competition presented school projects from all over the country that allow students who participate in their implementation to gain high marks and benefit while apply universities. Eight-member jury of academics, experts from the Ministry and teachers had the difficult task to distinguishing the best projects.

This year competitors came from nearly 50 schools across the country and the good news is that more than half of the projects were in the field of biology and environment. Even more cheerful is the fact that the BSPB team, which works on of the Egyptian vulture conservation, has its own participant. Sanie Miumyun demonstrated excellent work on the project "Measures for the protection of the Egyptian vulture, as a flag species in Eastern Bulgaria”, and was honored by the jury with one of the highest grades in the competition.

BSPB was invited as a guest by the host of the event - the Regional Education Inspectorate in Kardjali. To return the gesture BSPB provided additional prize of all teachers and project leaders – the educational toolkit, dedicated to the protection of the Imperial Eagle and Saker Falcon. The educational tool was issued under the first LIFE+ prject in Bulgaria “Save the Raptors”.
